Most of my clients come one of two ways. A referral (most common) or a Google search (which means my hard work is paying off!). The difference is that referrals are often more informed and prepared because their friend, colleague, or family member already gushed about the experience and given them the deets. Regardless of where they came from, my maternity clients get EXTRA special treatment at my studio in the form of very detailed emails, to prepare them, put them at ease and ensure they know exactly what to expect. Given that some clients have reservations about their ever changing-body, I want to ensure every woman feels confident by preparing them, connecting, and being on the same page. If you are reading this, I’m assuming you are a looking for a maternity shoot and have no clue what this entails, so….
what to expect, before the shoot?
Once you are booked, you will get a series of emails from me. The first will include the contract (to protect us both and ensure we are on the same page) after that, the fun begins! You get my prep guide, get some homework so that we have an vision board on Pinterest for your shoot, and a bunch of recommendations for things to do at home (and at a partner spa!) to prepare your skin and mind for the shoot! Finally, I give you a bunch of recommendations for wardrobe so that, if you feel the need to shop, you have a clear idea of where to go and what to get!
Within the same email, you will receive my Product Guide. This is basically my catalog of products that I have curated to offer you the best of the best albums, folio boxes, and wall art all Made in Italy with only the finest craftsmanship. My prices are clearly detailed so that you can plan and pre-pay to lessen the financial burden!
what to expect the day of?
In the morning you will get a “Good Morning!” text from me with a video on how to enter our studio. This will also prompt you to text me when you are downstairs so that I can help you up with all your things. Once upstairs, we will have a quick chat about your shoot and be greeted by my Hair and Makeup artist who will pamper you for the next hour.
the shoot
By the time you are all dolled up, I will have a clear wardrobe/ set plan and will guide you through EXACTLY what to do and how to pose. Starting from your toes to the top of your head, I will mirror for you the best positions to enhance the most beautiful curves of your body. This does mean some will be uncomfortable, and maybe feel a bit like yoga, but NEVER painful! We will go through your 3-4 wardrobe changes, my different sets and lighting changes and the time will FLY. If we have opted for a final option to include your partner, they will come in in the last 30 minutes. Once we are done, you will be ex-haus-ted (a bit like motherhood!) but feel like you are walking on air, we will get you loaded up and your partner can take you out for lunch because you will be starving! Also, check your email because you will receive a little surprise from me that evening ;)
the reveal
One week after the maternity shoot, you will come back for the big reveal (or we do it digitally from the comfort of our homes). Usually done with your partner, you will select your very favorite images for the album, folio box, or wall art of your choice! This is when we have chocolates and ohhh and ahhhh over how amazing you look. By the time we are done, you will be SO excited for the maternity album pick up a month later!
delivery
If you ordered an album or Folio Box we will deliver to you (or drop ship, if out of town). If you ordered Wall Art as well, we will schedule a time for installation (yes, we install!) so that my team can ensure a seamless transition of the maternity art into your home!
